Getting around The Pick
The Pick uses a consistent layout that makes it easy to find what you need, no matter where you are in the app.
The sidebar
What's in the sidebar
The sidebar is your main navigation hub. It's organized into sections:
Top section:
Daily Picks - Today's AI recommendations
AI Chat - Start a conversation with Pick AI
Leagues section:
NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and more
Numbers next to each league show how many games are scheduled today
Main section:
My Bets - Your saved bet tracker
Updates - What's new in The Pick
Bottom section:
Feedback & Support - Get help
Your account and settings
League badges
Each league in the sidebar shows a number indicating how many games are scheduled for the selected date. If a league has no games that day, it won't appear in the list.
This makes it easy to see which sports have action without clicking through each page.
Opening and closing
On desktop: The sidebar stays visible on the left side of the screen.
On mobile: Tap the menu icon to open or close the sidebar. After you select a page, the sidebar closes automatically to give you more space.
The date picker
Always in sync
The date picker appears at the top of the sidebar. Whatever date you select applies across the entire app:
League pages show games for that date
Daily Picks show recommendations for that date
Sidebar badges reflect how many games are scheduled
This consistency means you never have to wonder what day you're looking at.
Changing dates
Desktop: Click the date to open a calendar and select a day
Mobile: Tap the date to use your phone's date picker
Quick navigation: Use the arrow buttons to move forward or backward one day at a time
Your account area
Quick access
At the bottom of the sidebar, you'll see:
Your profile picture or initials
Your current membership level
Any earned badges (early adopter, Pro member, etc.)
Account menu
Tap your profile to open a menu with:
Customize AI - Set up custom instructions for Pick AI
Account - Manage your profile, billing, and security
Log out - Sign out of your account
The upgrade button
If you're on the Free or Insider plan, you'll see an animated upgrade button in the sidebar. It shows:
Your current plan
A call-to-action to unlock premium features
Pro members see a trophy icon instead, acknowledging their full access.
Finding features quickly
Everything in The Pick is designed to be accessible within one or two taps:
Want today's best bets? → Daily Picks is at the top of the sidebar
Looking for a specific sport? → Find it in the Leagues section
Need to review your bets? → My Bets is in the main section
Have a question? → Open AI Chat or Feedback & Support
Staying informed
New feature badges
When The Pick releases new features or updates, a "New" badge appears on the Updates link. Visit the Updates page to clear the badge and see what changed.
Version notifications
If we deploy a new version while you're using The Pick, you'll see a notification at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Refresh" to reload and get the latest improvements.
The sidebar and navigation stay consistent across the entire app, so once you know where something is, you'll always find it there.
